Blackberry Circle is a Pagan group located in Conroe, Texas. We celebrate the Turning of the Wheel by offering open rituals for those who follow the Pagan paths, but we focus on the Wiccan spirituality.
We currently have seven acres of land in Conroe that we are developing for ritual uses. On March 20, 2007 we received our non-profit corporation status from the state of Texas making us an official Pagan church. We are now working to eventually obtain our federal 501(c)(3) status.
At this time we are on a sabbatical from accepting students and anticipate starting again in 2012.
Below are some of our founding members, coven members and clergy with a little information about them:
Catherine "Shadow Crow" Shadow Crow resides in Spring, Texas and is originally from Pennsylvania. She transplanted to Texas in 1996 and found the Pagan path in 2000. Shadow Crow does not follow any specific tradition but works the most with and pays homage to Bast. Over the years she has learned (and still continues to) creative ways to incorporate Paganism into her daily life and her home. She is a founding member of Blackberry Circle. Her thrill in life is learning from people and places she is introduced to along her path of discovery. One of her goals in life is to educate the community about Paganism and to cast aside the many myths about our religion which exist in society today.
Jon "Athrawon" Edens Jon has been practicing for a little over 23 years and is considered an Elder in the Houston Pagan community. He has taught classes in the Houston area and around Texas much of that time has has been the High Priest of several covens over the years. He has lectured several groups including writer groups, teachers, emergency workers and public officials as to the true belief and practices of Paganism, Wicca and Witchcraft. He is also a director of The Pagan Online Campus which provides free, online education for those seeking to further their knowledge of Pagan and metaphysical practices. Jon is also a founding member of Blackberry Circle.

Brian "Rowan Knight" and Sara "Ruis"
We are native Pacific north westerners , we transplanted to Texas in 2001 looking for work. In 2003 we co founded a family coven and fell in to Wicca with a fit of laughter and high hopes. We have two children and are raising them in Paganism, and due to their wonderful curiosity we started Mayfest. A child and family friendly festival for Beltane. We are devoted to teaching and experiencing Paganism. We just recently found and joined Blackberry, and are enjoying every bit of that olde time religion! Every day we discover and teach ways of living in paganism to our children.web.
