My children, who are gathered before me, know me, see me, feel me, and live in me for I live in you.
I am the sun that warms your skin and ripens the blackberries of the field.
I am the seed of the berry that burst forth from the ground. I am the seed of flesh that joins to make life. I am the seed glitters in the womb of night.
I am the darkness that hides in the light. I am the spark in the shadows.
I am the Lord of the Dance, the hunter and the hunted, the protector and the sacrifice.
I am the passion of your love and the fire of your spirit.
I am the cry of the forlorn and the shout of triumph.
My hand is both comforting and sharp. My voice is both soothing and fearful.
Know that I am the untamed wind and the wild beasts of the forest. Seek me with humility and reverence, but seek me with strength and discipline.
Let there be desire and fear, anger and weakness, joy and peace, awe and longing within you.
For it is in these acts that you will learn My Mystery; as I am the seed that springs from the earth only to return at the end of the season, so too are you that very same seed.
