Join Blackberry Circle in moving the Wheel of the Year one more turn with a Vernal Equinox Ritual on 23 March 2019 at 3:00 PM.
This year we will celebrate the defeat of Darkness by Light with a Holi Festival style ritual. If you don’t know what that means, it means to wear white and wear something you don’t mind throwing away if you can’t clean it.
Yup, a festival of colour, and being covered in colours.
The coloured powder we have is cornstarch based, so no gluten allergy worries, and it is said to wash out with no problem. But, just in case, wear something you don’t mind throwing away.
A potluck feast will follow, so bring something you would like to share with others.
A raffle and some sales will also be available after the ritual to help raise funds to support the public rituals. We usually have some pretty neat stuff, so bring cash if you would like to take part in the raffle.
We will have a porta-potty on hand to keep all the coloured powder out of the house, so if you would like to simply donate to help alleviate the cost of the potty, it would not be turned down.
In short, bring:
* A camping or lawn chair to rest your weary arse in;
*Wear white so the colours really show;
* Food you would like to share with others for the pot luck;
* A sense of humour.
PLEASE DO NOT bring your fur children. Furless semi-human ones are always welcome at BBC unless otherwise specified.
**OUTSIDE EVENT WARNING**
Blackberry Circle rituals are an outside event, and as such there is a possibility that you may come in contact with various critters that range from irritating to plain evil. In addition, the land is not concrete smooth by any means and there may be holes, roots, or other impediments out there.
