Alcohol & Drug Abuse Policy
Approved by the Board of Directors of Blackberry Circle
1. Policy
To help ensure the safety and well-being of members, participants, staff, students, and the general public, Blackberry Circle is committed to maintaining a family environment that is free of illegal drugs, and of drugs and alcohol that are used illegally or excessively. Blackberry Circle also prohibits the unlawful possession, use, distribution, or manufacture of controlled substances on Blackberry Circle sites or during Blackberry Circle sponsored activities. Violation of Blackberry Circle’s policy is cause for disciplinary or other appropriate action including but not limited to expulsion from the site and banning from future Blackberry Circle activities.
2. Health Risks and Sanctions
Members, participants, guests and students should be aware that it is dangerous to abuse alcohol and other drugs, and many illnesses and deaths have been medically related to the use and abuse of illegal drugs and alcohol, and that Blackberry Circle has declared itself to be a drug-free spiritual, work and educational environment.
Members, Guests, Students and Participants who are found to be in violation of this Alcohol & Drug Policy may be subject to arrest and conviction under the applicable criminal laws of local municipalities, the State of Texas, or the United States. Conviction may result in sanctions including probation, fines and imprisonment.
Violations of this Alcohol & Drug Policy are grounds for disciplinary action, including, but not limited to, expulsion from Blackberry Circle events, dismissal from current or future Blackberry Circle activities or fellowship, and/or exclusion from current or future Blackberry Circle activities or fellowship.
3. We encourage everyone to have fun while visiting or participating in our events, and always drink responsibly.
